Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use ArteriBeat: BP & Heart Rate (the "App"). The App is provided by Lunar Aureola LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

The App is designed for general wellness tracking. It lets you estimate heart rate using the iPhone camera, record readings obtained from external health devices, view trends, set reminders, and create reports. The current version does not require an account and does not operate a product server that receives or stores your health records.

1. Privacy Summary

The current version of the App:

- does not require account registration or sign-in;

- stores health records, notes, reminders, medication plans, settings, and related App data on your device;

- processes camera input for heart-rate estimation and screen-reading assistance on your device;

- does not upload camera images or health records to our servers;

- does not use iCloud, HealthKit, Bluetooth device synchronization, or a product cloud-sync service;

- does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or attribution SDKs;

- does not request permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and does not access the advertising identifier for tracking;

- allows health reports to leave the App only when you choose to share them through the iOS system share sheet; and

- may receive limited information only if you contact us or if you choose to share Apple system crash diagnostics with developers.

2. Information Handled by the App

2.1 Health and Wellness Records

You may enter, confirm, edit, or delete information such as:

- blood pressure readings, including systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and an optional pulse value;

- heart-rate estimates produced through the camera measurement feature;

- blood sugar readings and measurement context;

- blood oxygen readings;

- weight, height, and calculated body mass index (BMI);

- measurement context, arm, posture, notes, and timestamps;

- medication names, dosage text, reminder times, and Taken, Skip, or Later status; and

- reminder schedules and completion status.

This information is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store it on a product server. Blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood oxygen values must come from an external device; the App does not directly measure those values.

2.2 Camera Processing for Heart-Rate Estimation

If you choose to use the camera heart-rate feature, the App requests camera permission and uses the camera signal to estimate your heart rate. Camera frames are processed on your device for the measurement you requested. The App does not upload or store those camera frames on our servers. If a valid result is produced, the resulting heart-rate value and related record information may be saved locally on your device.

The heart-rate result is an estimate for general wellness purposes. It is not a medical diagnosis and should not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions.

2.3 Camera Processing for Screen Reading

The Scan Reading feature can photograph the display of an external blood pressure monitor, blood glucose meter, or pulse oximeter and use on-device text recognition to suggest values for entry. The image is processed only for the current scan, is not sent to a third-party OCR service or to our servers, and is not retained after you confirm the values or leave the scan flow.

You must review and, if necessary, correct the suggested values before saving. The App does not create a health record until you confirm and save the result.

2.4 Reports and Sharing

The App can create PDF reports from locally stored blood pressure, heart-rate, blood sugar, or weight records. Reports are generated for your review and remain under your control. A report leaves the App only when you choose to share it using the iOS system share sheet or another destination that you select.

Once you share a report, the receiving person, app, or service handles it under its own privacy practices. Review the report and the destination carefully before sharing because a report may contain sensitive health information and notes.

2.5 Reminders and Notifications

If you create a measurement or medication reminder, the App may request notification permission. Reminder schedules and status are stored locally. Lock-screen notifications use general wording and are designed not to display health readings, health classifications, or medication names.

You can change notification permission in iOS Settings. Denying notification permission does not prevent you from recording or reviewing information in the App.

2.6 Settings and App State

The App may store onboarding completion, unit preferences, reminder settings, and other information needed to maintain your experience. This information is stored locally on your device.

2.7 Official Sources and External Websites

The App includes links to health-information sources such as public health agencies, professional medical organizations, and research publications. When you choose to open a source, the App uses an iOS standard in-app browser. We do not append your health readings or health classifications to those links.

The operator of an external website may receive technical information normally sent during an internet request, such as an IP address, browser or device information, and the requested page. External websites are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control their content or data practices.

2.8 Support Communications

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and attachments. We use this information to respond to your request, investigate an issue, protect the App, and comply with legal obligations.

Please do not send health records, medication information, identity documents, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your support request. If a screenshot is sufficient, remove or cover information that is not needed.

2.9 Apple System Diagnostics

If you have enabled Apple's option to share crash and diagnostic information with app developers, Apple may provide us with limited crash, performance, device, operating-system, and App-version information. We use this information to diagnose technical problems and improve reliability. The App is designed not to include your saved health values in diagnostic events.

Apple controls the collection and delivery of Apple system diagnostics under Apple's own privacy practices. You can manage analytics and diagnostic sharing in iOS Settings.

3. Information the Current Version Does Not Collect Through the App

The current version does not collect through a product account or product backend:

- your name, postal address, phone number, date of birth, or government identifier;

- account credentials, because the App has no account system;

- precise or approximate location;

- contacts, calendar data, microphone recordings, or Photos library contents;

- HealthKit data;

- health data from Bluetooth or manufacturer device SDKs;

- advertising identifiers or information used for cross-app tracking; or

- product-interaction analytics for advertising, attribution, or behavioral profiling.

Information you voluntarily send to us by email is handled as described in Section 2.8.

4. How We Use Information

Information processed by or provided through the App is used only as reasonably necessary to:

- provide the feature you request;

- save and display your records, trends, reminders, and reports on your device;

- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests;

- diagnose crashes or technical problems when Apple system diagnostics are available;

- protect the App, users, and our legal rights; and

- comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your health records for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, credit, employment, insurance, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5. How Information Is Shared

We do not transmit your locally stored health records to our servers or advertising partners. Information may leave the App only in the following circumstances:

- At your direction: when you share a report, open an external source, or send an email.

- Apple system services: when iOS provides notifications, a share sheet, an in-app browser, or user-authorized crash diagnostics.

- Legal and safety reasons: if information that we control, such as a support email, must be disclosed to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

- Business changes: if responsibility for the App or support records is transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate privacy protections.

6. On-Device Storage, Retention, and Deletion

- Health records, notes, reminders, medication plans, settings, and locally generated reports remain on your device until you edit or delete them, use Delete All Data, or delete the App.

- You can edit or delete individual records through the App where that option is available.

- Delete All Data removes health records and notes, reminders and completion status, medication plans and status, saved height, locally stored temporary reports, and related user settings from the current device. It also cancels related local notifications. This action cannot be undone through the App.

- Deleting the App may permanently remove its local data. The App does not provide its own cloud backup, account recovery, or cross-device migration service.

- Device-level backups or diagnostic records controlled by Apple may be retained according to your iOS settings and Apple's policies. We do not control Apple's retention.

- Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate support records, comply with law, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.

7. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You can:

- choose whether to enter or save a health record;

- review and correct OCR-suggested values before saving;

- edit or delete individual records;

- use Delete All Data to clear user data from the current device;

- deny or revoke camera and notification permissions in iOS Settings;

- decide whether to share a report and choose its destination;

- manage Apple's analytics and diagnostic-sharing settings; and

- contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or another privacy right that may apply to information we control.

Because the App has no account or product server, we normally cannot access, identify, recover, or delete health records stored only on your device. Requests sent to us can apply to information we actually control, such as support communications.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority. These rights may be subject to verification and legal exceptions.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older who track readings from home health devices. It is not directed to children under 13 or any higher minimum age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an App account because the App has no account system. Users who have not reached the age of legal majority where they live may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support communications, contact us and we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we control. The App limits health-data handling to the device and does not operate a product cloud database for health records. However, no device, software, email service, internet transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device, reviewing OCR results, and checking reports before sharing them. Use an iOS passcode or biometric device lock where appropriate.

10. International Processing

Your health records are processed locally on your device. If you contact us, your email provider, our email provider, and related support services may process the communication in countries other than the country where you live. Apple and external websites may also process technical information internationally under their own privacy practices and applicable legal safeguards.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, data practices, legal requirements, or third-party services. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. If a future App version introduces materially different data practices, such as accounts, cloud storage, advertising, analytics, or additional third-party SDKs, we will update this Privacy Policy and the applicable App Store privacy disclosures before those practices are introduced and obtain consent where required.
